Website Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2 October 2025
Altomate is committed to making https://altomate.co.uk/ accessible and usable for as many people as possible. We aim to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA.
If you experience a barrier or need information in a different format, email hello@altomate.co.uk with the page URL and description of the issue. We’ll respond within 5 working days.
Our approach
We use WordPress with the block editor and follow good practices:
- semantic HTML (proper headings, lists and landmarks),
- meaningful link text and alt text for images,
- sufficient colour contrast and visible focus states,
- keyboard navigability and logical tab order,
- forms with accessible labels and error messages,
- responsive layouts for mobile and desktop.
Compatibility
The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on modern operating systems and mobile devices. Older browsers and assistive technologies may have reduced support.
Known limitations
We continuously improve, but the following may present challenges:
- Third-party embeds (e.g., Calendly, Loom/Vimeo) provide their own markup and keyboard behaviours. We choose accessible options where possible and offer alternatives (a direct booking link or email) if an embed doesn’t work for you.
- User-agent or extension conflicts may affect contrast or focus styles.
If you encounter an issue not listed here, please tell us and we’ll investigate.
Feedback & requests
- Report an issue / request an alternative format: hello@altomate.co.uk Include the page URL, the problem you faced, the assistive tech or browser you use, and the format you prefer (e.g., accessible PDF, plain HTML).
Assessment & monitoring
This Site is self-assessed against WCAG 2.1 AA. We review new pages and key templates before publishing and re-test after major updates.
